Eheim Phosphate Out is a 1-liter chemical filter media designed to remove excess phosphate from aquarium water, helping to limit unwanted algae growth. It is intended for aquarists dealing with algae problems or looking to lower phosphate levels in freshwater and marine tanks.
Placed in the chemical filtration compartment of an external filter, the active media binds phosphate as water flows through it, helping keep the water clearer and more stable. Because phosphate is a key nutrient for algae, reducing it can help the appearance of a cleaner tank with less green spot algae and other nuisance algae. The media should be replaced once its capacity is used up.
