The Bluebird Mat Pattern includes full-size templates and a complete materials list, so you have everything you need to create this charming mat. The design features a bright Bluebird perched on branches surrounded by spring flowers.
The mat itself is worked on a black and sandstone background, with a blue, pink, and white bird. Fresh green leaves and soft pink buds add lively color and depth to the scene.
This versatile Bluebird Mat can be used in many decorative settings—on a table, across the back of a sofa, or as a cheerful accent on a wall. A bonus pattern for a 14″ x 33″ HOME wall hanging is also included.
The pattern is not complicated, making it suitable for confident beginners as well as experienced stitchers. Pieces are cut using the included templates, then positioned and appliquéd in place by following the clear, illustrated step‑by‑step instructions.
You can keep the stitching simple or add decorative stitches to suit your own taste. The booklet provides detailed, illustrated guides for several stitch types to help you personalize your work.
In addition to the main mat and wall hanging layouts, the pattern includes full-color, illustrated layout designs that make placement easy to follow. And for those who enjoy a creative challenge, there is plenty of room to add your own special touches with extra stitches, trims, or embellishments not listed in the instructions.
